Here are some of my thoughts and prayers form when we were waiting for Grace.
I sent this email to family and friends a month or two before she was born.

The leper came to Jesus begging on his knees. As he approached the Savior, he fell on his face in worship. Through his tears and desperation he cried out,
"LORD!
IF YOU ARE WILLING
... you can make me clean!"
Jesus stopped. He had compassion on this filthy and hopeless leper. Through moist eyes he looked into the man's barely recognizable face, and then he did the unthinkable.
He touched him.
"I AM willing," said Jesus. "Be clean!"
Matthew 8:2, Mark 1:40, Luke 5:12
LORD! IF YOU ARE WILLING... you can heal my baby!

Jesus in in the Garden. He is in anguish. He knows how bad it is going to hurt. He knows how hard it is going to be. He can almost feel the pain of the nails being driven through his flesh. But much worse than the physical pain is the agony.. the thought of being separated, if only for a short time, from the Father. He knows what the future holds. Luke 22:44
"Father, if there is any other way!... let this cup pass from me" Matthew 26:39, Mark 14:36
There is no other way.
"yet not what I will, but your will be done."
Father you know how bad its going to hurt,
if there is any other way....
yet not what I will, but your will be done

His child was very sick. David fasted and lay on the ground all night. He cried out to God for the child's life for seven days. The child died. 2 Samuel 12:16
I will continue to pray and fast and cry out to God until the time of prayer and fasting is over.
